Main road into land, running through the middle. Living structures are off to the sides of this road.
Delicious white pineapples!
Ahalanui warm pond, located about 9 miles from the retreat center.
Future site of the main community area and kitchen.
Geothermal heated warm pond at Pohoiki, about 7 miles from retreat.
Small “ornamental” garden.
Gorgeous purple and violet Bromeliad.
Main community area. Lots of coconuts!
Cinder path to two story, well built, but unfinished structure near entrance to land.
Blooming orchids speak for themselves.
Additional photo of two story, well built, but unfinished structure near entrance to land.
Lush, vibrant plants and rare palms everywhere on the land.
Additional photo of two story, well built, but unfinished structure near entrance to land. Taken on a day that was cloudy, not a “Hawaii paradise” type day.
Bottom floor, kitchen area, of the two story structure in main community/gathering area. Very rustic. needs work. But quite solid and ready for refinements: propane stoves, refrigerators, comfy furniture for eating and gathering and hardwire connections for the internet.
Walking path from 2 story red structure into the main community/gathering area. Notice coconut trees and bananas as well as rare ornamental palms.
The land has many different “faces.” From lava formations to jungle.
Another well built, solid, but unfinished structure. Will have windows with screens when finished. This structure is located on the very zen-like environment of the “ah ah” lava formation. Notice the beautiful hardwood Ohia trees with red blossoms and wild ferns. This is not jungle. It is a drier and very pristine eco-system.
Inside of the same structure just shown.
Additional photo of same structure.
Another view of the natural beauty.
The more sterile, zen-like landscape of the part of the land that has the lava formations. This eco-system is gorgeous, with hardwood Ohia trees, ferns and wild orchids.
Another structure on the land. A two-story cabin that needs some work, yet located in a beautiful part of the land.
Another huge open area, much larger than it looks. After weed whacking and mowing, this area will be literally like a park. Room for endless gardens. To the right, the land continues on into an orchard of various trees: starfruit, mac nuts, avocado, cashew apple, lychee, coconuts, mango.
Coconut trees just loading with nuts waiting for the lucky person who can get them down!
Walking down into the more jungle-like portion of the land with many fruit trees. Cashew Apple tree on the left, Mango on the right.
Mango, coconuts, lower portion of land with lots of fruit trees
